Electric cars
The Chevrolet Bolt boasts quick acceleration, a very approachable price and 278 miles of range when driven on Edmunds real-world EV range loop. Even with more competitors now, the Bolt is certainly worth checking out if you’re in the market for an affordable EV.
Electric SUV
The Niro EV isn’t the best in any one particular area, but it does a lot of things very well. It’s comfortable, packed with in-car tech, and has impressive real-world range. It’s not the cheapest EV out there, but Kia’s long list of standard features and excellent warranty help offset that.
All-wheel-drive electric SUVs
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 springs out of the gate with retro-themed styling and the latest in electric vehicle design. It’s also comfortable, practical and generously equipped. While it can’t quite match the range of the equivalent Tesla Model Y or Ford Mustang Mach-E models, there’s still plenty to love about this all-new all-electric.
All-wheel-drive electric trucks
The F-150 Lightning is at once both futuristic and familiar. It has loads of modern technology features and yet it might be one of the most practical and job site-friendly trucks on sale today. But the Lighting’s full-size truck credentials come into question when you want to tow due to modest limits and a severely restricted range.
Luxury all-wheel-drive electric cars
The Polestar 2 is the first all-electric model from Volvo’s upstart brand. It boasts excellent driving dynamics, strong tech backed by Google, and a user-friendly interface. It’s a bit pricey even when factoring in available tax credits, and on the cozier side in terms of interior space.
